Russia in January-June reduced gold production by 7% - Rosstat

The Russian Federation reduced production of gold bullions in January-June 2016 over the same period of the previous year by 7%, Rosstat data show.
Production of palladium and its alloys rose by 9.7%, production of platinum and its alloys - by 8.9%.
Mining of gold ore and gold concentrates production in January-June 2016 increased by 1.5%. Extraction of natural rough diamonds decreased by 0.2%.
In June of 2016 with respect to June 2015, production of gold bullion decreased by 5.7%, with respect to the previous month - May 2016, production of gold bullions rose by 59.7%. At the same time, output of platinum and its alloys in June with respect to June 2015 decreased by 6.9%, and with respect to May 2016increased by 31%. Production of palladium and its alloys decreased by 6.8% in June with respect to June 2015 and increased by 1.1% with respect to the previous month.
Gold ore mining and gold concentrate production in June 2016, compared to June 2015, reduced by 1.3%, while in comparison to May 2016 increased by 41.5%. Extraction of natural rough diamonds in June increased by 12.6% compared to the same month of 2015, as compared to May 2016 - reduced by 5.1%.
Rosstat does not give absolute figures of extraction and production of precious metals and stones.
